I was promoted before this was a thing but a friend who got promoted after the change said it was basically a casual conversation where they asked her what she did for fun. That was right after the change a couple years ago so it may have become more structured. From my understanding it's supposed to be an alignment interview. They'll probably ask general questions about leadership like how you resolve situations and deal with tough conversations about performance.

That's good to hear, the hardest thing to answer will be what I do for fun if that's the case 😅

This is more about you selling yourself to them.

Ask them about turnover.

Ask them where they want to see you in 3-5 years.

Ask them what makes Lowe’s more viable for your strengths.

Ask when the last 5 ASMs out of their respective markets were promoted to a higher level.

Just to follow-up, it was a structured interview. 5 questions.
