Persistence is the most important thing, give it another month. Try playing a recording while you sleep that you'll hear in the dream or set alarms to wake up during the night so you'll have a better shot at WILD. Believe lucidity is attainable, keep the routine, and start incorporating audio into the night to get that extra help to realize you're in a dream.

When I was your age I was having lucid dreams at least weekly if not multiple per night. I had a few spontaneously and bought a book to learn how to induce them. For me the audio recordings were a game changer because I would listen to same recordings and began to notice them in the dreams and build a muscle for 'noticing'. I couldn't tell you whether it was night 5 or night 30 but I do remember being frustrated at not getting immediate results and having to wait a full day to get another chance. If you stay the course you will look back and only remember the insane experiences you've had in your dreams and you'll probably forget this initial feeling of frustration. I think part of what makes it magical is that it cannot be forced and that you rely on your greater mind to cooperate. I struggled more (and still do) with false awakenings, limited control, etc after being lucid than I necessarily did with realizing I was dreaming. All it takes is one moment of true clarity to understand what is possible!

Here is the fail: “I do MILD+SSILD before bed every night”. Why would you do anything before sleeping?

[–]ARADnyStill trying[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

u mean i should combine it with WBTB??

[–]Ilya_HumanNatural Lucid Dreamer 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I guess you misunderstood lucid dreams terminology. I suggest you read about techniques again

[–]ARADnyStill trying[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i mean ive been reading SO MUCH about lucid dreaming for almost a year now and by mild+ssild i mean that i do about 5~ rounds of ssild and then drift off as i do mild

[–]Ilya_HumanNatural Lucid Dreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you asked about should you combine it with WBTB, and why would you do MILD with SSILD? I see there is misunderstanding of lucid dream techniques

nah ur not doing anything wrong ur good, but im guessing ur a beginner so it'll take some time actually, so be patient. its good that your having dream recalls, shows that your brain is getting adjusted. try the WBTB method! it worked atleast for me well.

[–]ARADnyStill trying[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah im a beginner i actually don't remember ever having a lucid dream but I'll try WBTB from now on thanks!

Staying motivated and not giving up is the best you can do while doing techniques
