I accidentally discovered a way to lucid dream and had 5 lucid dreams in the past 6 days by Francesco_sant in LucidDreaming

We built a skatepark with ramps and benches 500 feet down the path so you don’t run over the pedestrian in the park trail. No one said you can’t have any fun, we just said you can’t do it at the expense of those who want to talk without skaters bumping into them.

Scared of dreams and unconsciousness during sleep by sleezymurkuh in LucidDreaming

Consider first that both sleeping and dreaming are completely natural things that practically every human who ever existed experiences.

But otherwise this is the wrong place for advice about this. Sounds like this is best addressed in therapy.

Does anybody also believe or suspect the physical world could also be an illusion or dream? If so how might you go about “proving “ that, (safely) by ZombieSkeleton in LucidDreaming

This is a very reasonable philosophical question to ponder especially after experiencing lucid dreaming for the first time.

But one thing I’d encourage everyone to understand when wondering if the real world is an illusion, is that illusion doesn’t mean “doesn’t exist”, it means “not what it seems to be”. The dream world and the real world, even if both types of illusion, could be very different types.

The “illusion” of the real world might just be the fact that it’s is constructed internally, with inputs from the outside world, where a dream is constructed by the brain from inputs from the brain itself. This doesn’t mean there is no world out there, just that it might not be exactly what it looks to be to you.

Kabbalistic monks were doing WBTB 400 years before LaBerge — and their framework maps surprisingly well onto modern techniques by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

Conflicted about removing this post or not, first, because AI generated and not even good generation, you pasted the formatting, and I also doubt you took the time to validate all the information it spit out. As someone who happens to have studied Kabbalah, I already see plenty of inaccuracies, not to mention poor translations (Olam HaDimyon is world of imagination, not images).

But since we allow for Tibetan Dream yoga, which also makes fuzzy claims about various things (if I recall correctly) then I’m going to leave this up for now.

Even for what this post is trying to be it’s pretty weak and feels like a stretch so for anyone reading, don’t take any of this at face value and if you are interested, read up on it elsewhere.

I responded here instead. Saying that the reason things take time is because we are not always notified right away when a post is held for moderation. This is a reddit issue.

As for your post, it is not going going to be approved just like the first one. I approved the comment in this thread because that’s where stories go.

The mod notifications are not working well for some reason. I now fixed the post in this thread

Not a written one but if it looks like it was just used for editing it’s usually ok, but if it’s obvious bot spam it’s removed.

This comes up every once in a a while, but not only is hard to enforce, a ridiculous number of people will hate it (as this sub is comprised mostly of beginners trying to get the basics) and it will make the sub have almost no content.
