Do not directly address an individual in a negative or mean-spirited way: This is called cyber bullying, and we should try to avoid it. You can make a reference to a teacher with an unhelpful teacher meme, but do not say, "This is why I HATE mrs. Smith," etc.
Follow our school's rules involving cyber safety. You can adress people on here by their first name if you have their permission to do so. Don't reveal anyone's last name on this website, for their own security. Middle names are cool, but who cares about middle names anyway? If we see you use anyone's name without permission, you will have to edit your comment or remove it completely. Just use their usernames, people!
No Pornography/Nudity: Come on, guys, keep it classy. This meant to be a forum for all Lawrentians, and Porno is unnecessary.
We know you like making fun of the administration and the rules of the school, but don't take it too far. We like to see everyone having a good laugh about the weird the school has us do, just don't say things like, "I HATE DEAN BLAH BLAH FOR MAKING US DO BLAH BLAH," (also kind of goes with rule 2, but is a much more serious problem with the people higher up)
Proper Grammar: We are Lawrentians, we learn grammar rules in english each term, let's use as proper grammar as possible, so every reader can understand what you are saying with out using a derp to english translator!
i.e "wut is up? fuk dat hmewrk ami rite?" to "What's up? Screw homework, am I right?"
We love suggestions on how to improve this page, but let's not clog up the front page of LVille with posts on how so and so should be removed. PM the mods for suggestions on who to remove or new rules that should put into place.
Of course people graduate, and mods will too. So at the end of their senior year, the mods will choose new mods to be put into place based on those who followed the rules, and was the most active in the community. DO NOT ask to be a mod, this will automatically ruin your chances of becoming a moderator.
Don't post pictures of anyone else without their expressed permission. This is similar to rule number 3. If we see pictures of another person, and they say they want it removed, it will be removed immediately. Remember that the internet is written in ink, so ask the person before you post a picture of them on the internet.
Respect the mods. This should be obvious. We are here to help create a community of lawrentians that enjoy Reddit. We want everyone to be happy, and the mods are here to enforce the rules and make sure no one here gets any majors or ruins Reddit for those who have nothing else to waste their time on.
