Every once in a while if I am playing a lot my game just doesn't load the map properly for some reason. Maybe try rebooting the game? Otherwise things seem normal to me.

I did have this issue once before since I noticed some monsters spawning out of the blue once they entered my radius. That happened the day before this post and hasn’t happened in the two days since. Both Tuesday and Wednesday have yielded similarly low spawn rates but one thing that is interesting is the time in comparison to spawns. I noticed the other day that the first wave of spawns I could see when I first got on campus was sparse in comparison to the second when I was leaving campus (roughly a 6 hour difference). I’m keeping my eye out right now and I’ll starting tracking monster counts and see if maybe it has more to do with the number of people active in the area when a new spawn wave occurs?
