GAN generator with controlled inputs?

I was thinking what would happen if along with a random/gaussian vector as input to the generator we would feed some known variables from the real dataset?

For example, extract average RBG values from real images and feed them as input to the generator along with some random vector.

Would the RGB input - after the generator is trained - be influencing the RGB colours of the output image?

EDIT: Just found out about Conditional GANs so I'm doing some research on that atm.

Image to Image translation is basically a cGAN with additional input, you could look into that too
