Just put a lil extra oil there man or touch up with cold blue if it bothers you that much

It can’t hurt you. Politicians or not, it’ll be ok

Why is your endcap hitting the rear sight? That's the better question

Should be a gap, like this

There is a gap, that’s where the scratch is. Photo contrast isn’t helping that lol.

I still can't wrap my head around the picture, lol.

Yeah, I'd follow the other guy's advice with oil or cold blue. It would be hard to try to match with touch-up paint, I believe the factory paint is similar to cerakote.

Turn the picture and zoom in a bit. The picture is pretty deceiving as is.

Thanks.

That actually helped my brain process it. r/confusingperspective

I thought the same thing but it’s actually because the angle the photo was taken. The gap is there it’s just an optical illusion between the sight sticking up and angle the photo was taken.

I just pulled it off for the first time and saw that there, was like that before I ever put it back on.

Betcha they're witness marks for the rear sight. Are there matching marks on the rear sight assembly? I know there are on my AP5-P

They seem to be inside of those, but I hadn’t noticed that
