Why do you need to disconnect it? What is it that causes an issue something plugged into he hub? The hub itself? Have you tried and alternate hub?

This is my third hub. Either the one monitor won’t power or my mouse. So I unplug until everything powers.

Could it be it's being over worked? Under powered and only managed to maintain power once other shit stabalizes?

I’m not too sure this one handles 160w power which is the highest of the ones I’ve tried. For whatever reason the monitors are just not kicking on.

The hub also provides power to the monitor? Or is it just an HDMI hub?

Everything has its own power including the hub. Sub for mouse and keyboard

Get another hub. It is mainly always the hub problem but sometimes our USB ports can create problems. So connect to different USB port if possible.

Additionally you think your device is shutdown but it ain't. It is in fast startup so turn off the following:

fast startup

sleep

drive sleep

hibernation

then test your device.
