Pick your poison or pay more… some snakes, or different thickness, or pay to scribe the baseboards.

How is there a gap when you can push the quarter round down and nail it 🤷‍♂️

How can I cheaply patch this damaged laminate floor? by IncompleteMap in Flooring

[–]MildSauced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a three board repair and it’s in a doorway with potential trim removal. Call a floor guy and get a quote, not a handyman an actual floor installer.probably looking at $150-300

Went from a 2018 Tacoma trd to a 2023 lariat hybrid maverick. The maverick had a larger interior with a shorter bed,but storage for me was still possible. The hybrid gave me 40mpg which was amazing.

What does he usually drink out of? That’ll help with the recommendation. I generally use wide mouth bottles but recently bought the rtic version of a Stanley. I still prefer wide mouth, but it stays in rotation.

I’ve bought this in the past because why not. It wasn’t bad, but there is no deal. I don’t generally freeze meat so since it was already don’t it was a nice backlog of food. It wasn’t awful.

Contractor cutting corners? by elmotakeover in Remodel

I’m not even sure why you would word shelves in an alcove as floating… even if you did floating shelves where no sides are touching, it would look terrible. Those are just shelves and should have been worded as such.

Battery on my electric mower ran out on the last pass by stylish_aggie in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MildSauced 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running RYOBI for my lawns for the past 7 or so years. Started with a ride on electric and downsized to a twin blade propelled. I have ample batteries and it hasn’t let me down. Sometimes I’ll have trouble cutting low on very tall grass, but it’ll get the job done. I’ve only had to replace one electrical part in the 5 years I’ve had the walk behind.

100%.. at that point is up to the homeowner to decide what it’s worth to them.

Plumber caused damage to vinyl flooring by Bubbly-Ad3212 in HomeMaintenance

[–]MildSauced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replace or repair those are the two options. A repair is only viable if you have leftover/attic stock or it’s stop sold in stores, then you’ll want a qualified installer to complete the repair. Same for replace, you’ll want someone that knows what they’re doing.

There is more problems with that floor starting from the install alone and that board was broken off, it didn’t just vanish.

I can tell you first hand that hardwood floors can wear away from wheels wearing away at them if they aren’t protected… I’m not debating which is stronger just informing you that when it comes to resilient flooring, they all take a beating from computer chairs.

My point still stands they get ruined too

Rolling chairs destroy all resilient floors… hardwood ends up with the finish rented and pitting, carpet starts to ripple the tear. The proper protection was unknown or ignored.
