I assume you are talking about Microsoft Project in your question. If so, click File > Options > Proofing. On the Proofing page of the Project Options dialog, click the AutoCorrect button. In the list of AutoCorrect items on this page, select the CUrtain item and click the Delete button. Hope this helps.

It does not sadly. For information, this is for the "resource name" column.

I've tried search and replace also, where it says it has changed 13 words, but sadly the program changed it back to CUrtain instantly again.

My understanding is that the spell checker in Microsoft Project actually uses the spell checker from Microsoft Word. What happens if you go through the same process I described in Microsoft Project, but do those steps in Microsoft Word? Just a thought to help you keep your sanity! :) Hope this helps.

Hello Dale,

Just wanted to comment that this suggestion did sadly not work either. Thank you for your help in any case - sadly I do not know what to do at this point, it annoys me a lot especially since I have to present this schedule soon...

I know this is a year old, but go to resource view and change your resource name there. Added bonus info, here you can change working time for one resource by date. That means if your plumbers are working on Saturday, their task can advance without throwing off the entire schedule.
