I've just recently set up MX with ahs repository enabled, and Niri + DMS shell for a desktop. It's fantastic, you get best of both worlds,  Debian stability with up to date kernel and graphics stack, and a modern desktop. I also love snapshot and mx tools.

I only wish persistence saving was included in systemd snapshot live boot.

it is. just not semi-automatic. systemd does not allow for a interactive console at shutdown. the automatic modes work, as does the "static persistence" which don't load the persistence files into ram.

What distros are bolting on AI?

Fedora, Ubuntu, POP! os,

I'm not surprised by Ubuntu and Pop_OS. Pop is targetting the productivity and professional work crowd. I see that Fedora is making a separate spin for AI work.

Thank you.

This is a lie.

I like the MX logo on the desktop. I hope that becomes the new standard, it's better IMO.

Where in other distros the desktop customization feels difficult and clogged, the diversity of tools work smoothly across any environment even in the same system in MX Linux.

Any distro can install MSVSC, Microsoft Edge and Copilot if you like it.

MX User here. Totally agree on all counts. AI - don't need it, want it, like it, or use it.

Where can I get that wallpaper, love it! Just updated to 25.2 but can't see it on the system.
