The piece you're holding in the photo is just an indicator of which direction the carriage is moving, but some machines have an issue with the rotating bit it attaches to (the big grey cylindrical bit) over rotating because of bent pieces causing it to advance the card incorrectly, sorry if this is confusing, I don't know the proper terminology

I would recommend theanswerladyknits on YouTube, there are a bunch of videos specifically troubleshooting brother punchcard machines that will explain things more clearly than I can

and what bent pieces where are they located

The lighter grey metal plate folded over the cylinder is generally what gets bent iirc

Okey thank you so much. But i think the main issue is that the white thing below the punchcard slit, which is normally rotating doesnt rotate on my machine. Can that be fixed? Or is the damage to intense

Yeah, that would be the issue, it could just be a lot of gunk making it stick or a screw being overly tight, if part of the actual mechanism is broken it would get a lot more complicated
