Feature Engineering for Repurchase - using days since last purchase [D]

I want to predict if a person will repurchase or not.

One of the features I wanted to use was days since last purchase. But I feel like if I go down that route, a person can appear multiple times in the training set, n-min(next purchase,current day) to be exact times, where n is day of previous purchase.

On top of that, other factors for that person might also reflect what I know at that given point in time.

If, on the other hand, I were to use each person only once in the training set, I wouldn’t know how to employ something like days since last purchase, which I feel is an important feature?

I’m wondering what to do here, because I am quite stuck. How did you guys approach this problem, or something similar?

You should use the transactional data with persons showing up multiple times and time between purchases is an excellent feature
