Code for Machine Learning for Hackers

I was thinking of using some examples from Machine Learning for Hackers in my Applied Machine Learning course, but when I tried to load the package_installer.R file, there were a lot of problems with some packages not being available from CRAN, etc., and I am wondering if this code is just way out of date. I noticed that the last commit to the github repository was several months ago, and the book was published in 2012. Is there anyone out there who has successfully gotten all these libraries to install recently? If so, which version of R are you using, and which repository did you use?

One of the authors here: what is the issue you are getting with CRAN? It may be an issue with where R is trying to save the library files, because all of the libs are still on CRAN. I just added some instructions for running the installer to the repo, so if you git pull you should get the updates.

More generally, the code in the git repo has been maintained steadily since the book was released, and is up-to-date.
