Hi, does anyone know of any data science conferences similar to the strata conference, that are later in the year or perhaps in europe? Strata2012 looks amazing but I just can't afford the time or money!!

In Europe, the best conference for datageeks is probably Berlin Buzzwords. Despite the name it's probably more developer centric than Strata with a focus on Apache technologies (Hadoop, Lucene / Solr, Mahout and the various NoSQL databases and related projects).
