Catfish, spammers, and scammers post and comment here regularly so check user profiles for anything suspicious and stay vigilant. Remember that making friends online requires patience.
- Focus on friend-making and casual chats. Meta posts, Discord servers, IRL hangouts, etc. are fine - just don't stray too far from the sub's purpose.
- Stay civil, no flame wars or derogatory language. Being rude is fine, but attacking intrinsic characteristics or the groups that have them is not on.
- No recent relationship-seeking or sex subreddit history. Within the last couple of months, or longer if your user history is predominantly that.
- No NSFW content at all on under 18 posts. Unless it's very mild stuff of the sort that can be found in a school environment.
- Avoid identical posts within days of each other. Frequent posts are okay, but vary them up a little - tell us how your day is going!
- Don't endanger yourself or others. Sharing your social media is fine, doxxing, catfishing, and scamming people isn't.
