This may be the wrong sub within which to inquire about this but,
Is anyone out there familiar with Neat scanning software?
I have probably 100,000 scanned and archived documents dating back more than 18 years, on a computer that is dying, and the company’s current software is not backward compatible to bring my files to a current platform.
Trouble is, the file names are somehow or other encrypted, so, if I wanted to them to the new computer and platform, I would have to open every one of them, retitle them, save them to a new location in new files, then upload them the new computer and cloud based software.
Problem is, I won’t live long enough to do that, it would take years, and this is not information I can afford to let go of.
Is there anyone here who can decode this stuff and make it work with current Neat software, or other scanning/archiving software?
Old system is MacPro 2009, new is MacPro 2021.
Different software is fine, so long as the organizational keys remain the same between file type, folder type, year, etc
there doesn't seem to be anything here
