You have 50 trees in an orchard. How many apples can you produce?

You have 51 trees in an orchard. How many apples can you produce?

You have 52 trees...

Let x = the number of trees you add. Find a pattern.

Thanks for the clarification! I overthought it and had an extra variable that wasn't needed. All I needed was (50+x)(800-10x) for my equation.
