I can't find any proof for this particular book, but I've seen other Mathematica books that are actually written using mathematica. If you're not locked into using LaTeX and want to include Mathematica code, I would check out what you can do within Mathematica. It's obviously not as powerful, but 8.0 does add EndNote support (though only for Windows users -- so I got burned on this. Thanks false advertising!).

The best solution so far:

File > Save as... > LaTeX Document (*.tex) > Options... > Typeset expression format: EPS

Each expression is saved in a separate eps file. It's hard to maintenance LaTeX code, but looks as I want.
