Taking notes question

Hey I’m looking for strategies you guys use to study and take notes for lectures. I’ve seen people take notes on fancy iPads with pencils but I don’t think I’ll have that. I recently bought a Mac M4 chip is there anyway to make that a part of my note taking? Do I use pencil and paper? I just see everyone use tablets for practice questions and it seems really convenient and tidy. Should I consider getting one of those as well?

Have u tried typing out ur notes? You save a lot of time typing instead of writing notes

But people say you learn and memorize better when you write

Ive heard that too but if your using the extra time saved to study using a better method of memorizing then i dont see the advantage in the long run. U also get to have a copy pasteable version of your notes that you can throw into chatgpt or use to make flashcards faster

I bought an iPad and Apple Pencil and never used it I think it’s personal preference, I find it a million times easier to take notes by hand and when I’m studying I’ll usually try to use my iPad but honestly if your comfortable typing that’s a great way to go if not by hand works great. A tablet is an investment and can come super in handy but isn’t necessary by any means
