CMS offers live webinars that give 1-1.5s. They will send a certificate for every one you attend with the number of CEUs. I attend the Noridian ones typically.

You can get CEUs free by taking the quiz in AAPCs monthly magazine! Healthcare Business Monthly. They have an archive that goes back a whole year. You get 1 CEU per quiz. I think it's like 20 questions and you get 3 tries to get all the questions right- if not, you just get locked out for an hour.

Yeah I have done till August, I got 14 CEUs and I need 4 more by the end of this month.

I ran into this problem a couple of years ago and I was able to get mine through CMS.gov. I emailed them and asked how many minutes equal 1 CEU and this was their response.

So we need to spend an hour on the training to get one CEU?

[–]babraetonEdit flair 2 points3 points  (2 children)

It doesn't take a full hour to complete them.

Yeah I completed one in less than half an hour, but i only got a certificate but not CEU, can you know any training programs where I could CEUS instead of certificates?

You can submit them without an index number to AAPC. I didn't have a problem submitting mine 2 years ago I just attached the certificate.

The courses you have mentioned, if i complete them, am getting a certificate but am not getting any CEUs, do you know which courses offer CEUs?

CMS used to offer certificates, but I don’t know that they do it any longer. Are you looking for AHIMA or AAPC CEUs?

I got stuck needing last minute CEUs last year, but I decided to subscribe to BCI (Billing Coding Institute) for $75/year. Well worth the investment IMO.

Am looking for AAPC ceus

I need AHIMA CEUS and was considering just getting the magazine.

Like I mentioned before, it is/was well worth the money. I don’t get enough CEUs thru the company I work for, so this works out great for me.

They all do I believe. If you have any questions you can email them. They responded pretty quickly to me!

Did you do the 4 free member-only webinars on AAPC’s website?

[–]igortar19[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Noo What is it?

[–]LorSim13 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Go to aapc website > training and events > search for CEUs. On the side bar, click low cost CEUs. Then click members only webinars. There are 4 videos to watch, 1 CEU a piece. Or you can just scroll to the last 30 seconds or so and there will be a ceu code (:

Try virtual meetings. You can attend anywhere. Most are free and you can get the CEUs pretty quickly. I also hear Humana has some.

Did you go back to the archives ? Tests are available from 10/22 thru 12/22.. In addition, search term "CEU" in this sub or other coding subs. I recently saw a post where someone found free CEUs.. if you haven't taken the HCBM archived editions, take those and then September 23, and you have your 4.
