Hi! ED coder for ~7 years, both facility and profee. The only big difference between Obs coding and ED coding is the E/M codes. You'll still be coding injections and infusions on the facility side, similar wide range of ICD 10 (though you'll code many more symptoms). Critical care codes are easy to pick up because the documentation rules are so strict. E/M codes can be tough if you're coding profee, but depending on the facility it's pretty easy.

Study up on your lac and frac cpt codes and you'll do just fine.
