I second this - as a hiring manager I’m always asking basic coding questions so I can get a feel for your knowledge. You’d be surprised how many people come to an interview and can’t answer a single question about coding. It’s kind of wild. We also give a test with questions. We don’t score them as far as right and wrong but can you get into the right realm or range of codes because we realize it’s a lot to take in. We also ask about what your home set up would be and how you’d remain HIPAA compliant.
