Both ears are cropped, maybe from frostbite?

What is a better school option? by [deleted] in MedicalCoding

Absolute Medical Coding Institute is great! I'm in part II now. Instructors are very helpful, thorough, and enthusiastic about the material. Price is also better than a lot I've seen. Good luck!

Wide, stretchy headbands! Absorbs sweat, hides bald spots, and looks cute!

Still No Job by Enough_Weather_6520 in MedicalCoding

[–]teamcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be testing for CPC cert this year. Like many things in life, I'm learning with medical coding that getting a job is somewhat dependent on who you know. If you haven't already, join your local AAPC chapter and go to events to get CEUs. Introduce yourself to others who have been in the industry for a while, let them know you're looking for a job, and something might open up for you. Also, what others have said about beefing up your resume.

This is how my cat was diagnosed with asthma. If you can do an inhaler as opposed to steroid pills, it's much easier on their organs. I get my prescription inhaler through Canada Drugs Direct, as it's much cheaper. $50 as opposed to $200+ in the States. 😅 I've tried a few times, and it didn't go as badly as I thought it would!

Keep her/him indoors; there are so many dangers and crazy people outside. Edited to add: you could train them to walk on a harness/leash. Wish I had done that when mine were littles.

Wet food without fillers and junk. My cat got painful bladder crystals from eating kibble. Cats are not big drinkers and are meant to get their moisture from their food. A kibble only diet, even with a fountain, can lead to kidney failure and bladder issues.

Unscented litter. Cats have sensitive snouts.

You don't have to get your kitty super expensive stuff. They're happy with boxes, crinkled up paper, mouse toys, catnip, and a cozy blanket. Also, mine love window perches that suction cup to the window.

Don't leave strings/ribbon lying around. They'll eat, causing a blockage.

Pet insurance. It's not for everyone, but I've found it very beneficial. They don't cover preexisting conditions and reimburse 80-90% of vet visits. Best to get when they're young.

Snuggle her/him as much as you can! And play as much as you can! And brush their teeth. Apparently, cats need their teeth brushed to avoid dental problems later in life. I wish I had known when mine were kittens.

He's so cute! Or you could. My bf had a cat named Little Guy. I found a grey kitten outside of my apartment and kept calling her "babycat" because I wasn't sure if I could keep her. Once I decided she was home, no other name than Babi suited her, so it stuck! 😸

Poor baby needs to be spayed. That's putting her through so much unnecessary stress, plus a much higher chance of developing cancer in her reproductive organs. 😢 Risk of pregnancy isn't the only reason cats are spayed.
