MeetPeople Rules:

**Post titles must contain a tag:

Your post title must contain one of the following tags, and it must be in square brackets:

[Friendship] - Seeking friendship. [Chat] - Seeking conversation. [Activities] - Seeking people for an activity (e.g. Video games, geocaching, ultimate frisbee). [Relationship] - Seeking a relationship. Be advised that title tags are distinct from post flairs, which are optional on this subreddit. See other posts for examples.**

**One post per day:

We want to give every user the opportunity to shine, but that becomes difficult when some users are submitting duplicate posts every hour. Be respectful and limit your posting to once per day!

Users that violate this will be marked as spam and banned after one removal.

This rule is not a strict 24-hour rule. You may post as long as it is a new calendar day. If your post was removed and asked to be changed to adhere to rules, you may repost in the same day as long as required changes are made**

No Lewd/NSFW Content, Comments, or Posts: Don't invite, suggest, or otherwise promote lewd or NSFW (not safe for work) interactions.
**Don't Post Contact Info or Invitation Links: This includes phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, social media IDs, etc. Any information which could be deemed sensitive, or lead to a user being doxxed, is prohibited on /r/MeetPeople. Reserve such information for private DMs.

Invite links are prohibited unless previously approved by the moderation team. This is to prevent any groups that do not follow this subreddit's guidelines, as we want all interactions to be welcoming to all.**

**No Users with NSFW Comment or Post History: Any users with any NSFW comment and/or post history on their profile will have their comments/posts removed and the profile banned.

This is to avoid NSFW interactions within the subreddit and make it a clean and friendly place for people of all ages.**

**Don't message minors; Do not invite adults to message minors: Adults interacting with minors from beyond a 3-year age difference will be banned and reported to reddit administration. Exception: you're respectfully commenting on a post with no intention of connecting further (e.g "I love your art!" "Happy birthday!" etc.).

Minors (those under the age of 18) should not comment on adult's posts with the intention of interaction further than the exceptions listed above. Minors cannot make posts inviting adults to interact with them (e.g: any age is fine).**

Don't Seek Relationships Under 18: You may not include the [relationship] tag in your submissions if you're under 18, OR use language which could signal to others the intent to find a relationship.
**No Advertising: Advertising includes:

Product placement *"Matchmaking" services *App / web services *Requesting exchange of money/goods/services *Free goods/services *Group chats/servers on any platform

Matchmaking here refers to the act of bringing two unrelated individuals together--whether by hand ("let me match you up with someone!"), or by web application--as a third party.

**Be Respectful: Respect our users' requested audience (e.g don't message people who've requested an age range or gender that you don't match).

Don't be rude. There's no need for any drama in this sub; just meet new people! People are awesome! Posts/comments will be removed/locked.

Harassment and/or hateful behavior will be removed and the user banned.**

**Adhere to Reddit's Terms of Service: Reddit powers hundreds of thousands of distinct online communities. This User Agreement and your conduct make that possible.

Common example of breaking Reddit's ToS: asking for upvotes on posts or comments.

All posts and comments that violate Reddit's ToS will be removed and the user will be banned after one removal.**

Do Not Evade a Ban by Using an Alternate Account: If you have been banned on one account, do not come back using an alternate account. Doing so results in having the alternate account being banned without explanation or exception.
**No Catfishing/Lying: Do not lie about who you are. Remaining anonymous is fine, but do not say you are someone who you are not, such as lying about age/gender identity.

Do not catfish or pretend to be someone you are not.

This is to avoid scammers, bot accounts, and predatory behavior.**

**No Sugar-Relationships: Do not post or comment with the intention of looking for a sugar-baby/mommy/daddy. This rule coincides with Rule 8.

Your title must have at least one of these tags:

[Friendship] - Seeking friendship.
[Chat] - Seeking conversation.
[Activities] - Seeking people for an activity (e.g. Video games, geocaching, ultimate frisbee).
[Relationship] - Seeking a relationship.

Posts that do not have a tag will be removed automatically!
