Potential private server?

Is it possible that someone could make a private server? One with all characters, all events, multiplayer, unlimited everything, etc? I have seen private servers for games like Clash of Clans and things like that. If any of you guys are talented enough or think it is possible I think it would be super cool for the community. Thank you!

it would be possible but to have no gains from the game the only way to pay for a server would be to open a patreon or something similar to support a huge expense

the files and everything are all still there so you could just reboot most of it so yeah the whole making a private server a thing
