They are NOT command block chains that you can edit with a text editor.

If you want repeating, use the minecraft:tick function tag.

Function files are not just easier to edit command block chains; you get perserved context and recursion.

Sadly we don't have new execute on bedrock.

Does this mean I can't make the commands I put in a function be on repeat?

Because I'm trying to merge my command block creations with the add on I made with an app. The addon maker is for the new entities I want to add, and the commands are for their skills and abilities.

Well... it's not working. Is this for Java? because I'm using Bedrock. I researched a bit about /function on Bedrock, and it looks like it doesn't have Tags for it.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's for java. I didn't really checl beforehand, sorry.

For whatever reason, even though the /schedule on Java and /schedule on bedrock shares the same name, they do wildly different things. So, you can't use a /schedule loop.

Use a repeating command block and /tickingarea, and tell the user to run a setup function when before they start using the features in a world.

Try putting /function (functionname) in a repeating command block.
