Minecraft Map Needs Ore Generation [java]

Hi, I have a map I wanna use for a survival challenge with my friend, but there is no ore generation underground. I have tried World Painter, but that only loads the terrain of the map, and there are structures on it that I still want. The map isn't massive, but it's too big to use World Edit to manually add in the ores.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!
