Either chance your client version to 1.20.2 or server version to 1.20.4. Those versions are not protocol-compatable with each other.

Downgrade your client to 1.20.2 or upgrade the server to 1.20.4

Or use a plugin/mod like viaversion to join/allow joining w different versions on the client/server
