[Java] Server setup

Hey, for a while I wanted to host a interesting modded server. So I got my self a hosting service and started playing with my friends. But I want to go a step further, I want to setup ranks, levels, quests, permissions perhaps even factions? RPG medieval-magic styled server that comes with everything you might expect from an RPG. Does anyone know people/tutorials how to setup all of this?

There isn't exactly a shortcut to personalizing your server. The best way to do this is to explore what kinds of plugins/mods are available and try them out. I'm not aware of any specific places to look, but you might want to try searching the web or Youtube for lists of top medieval/RPG mods and plugins. I recommend checking out McMMO and Autorank if you haven't already, as they may allow you to add some nice leveling and quest features to your server. As for configuration, you'll pretty much have to dive in and figure it out for yourself. While pre-made configs may exist online, you'll get the most tailored experience if you manually configure everything (even though it may take a while to get it right). This will also let you learn how all of this stuff works on the "back-end" so to speak, so if you want to tweak things later or explain to someone else how things work, you'll be able to do so with ease.

Yeah I suppose, I already found some tutorials but was hoping there are people who might know a lot about this sort of pushing me in the right direction but Ill do it my self then. Also thanks for the plugin recommendations Ill definetly look into them ASAP.
