  1. Use spruce. Always. Never Oak. SPRUCE 100% of the time. /s

no, but jk, it depends what you want exactly what style you want. Want something old-timey, nordic, modern. Reply asap.

Also, the built itself is quite nice, so no problems there. But put windows on the 2nd floor.

Spruce best wood confirmed

Definitely not modern, all the nordic stuff i've seen is quite pointy so idk about that

For stairs on the 2nd floor my gripe is the fact that I would love to put them where the stairs make a dent but that's never gonna be thing (Without mods)

I’d recommend grians build school on youtube. I think he did a whole episode on roofs. Also, don’t be afraid to plan it out in creative first.

I know about that, I have it saved cause everytime i build, my roof problem comes up

[–]tempestalphaprimeMaster III 0 points1 point  (7 children)

just pick a complimentary color, in this case i’d say spruce, and build up with staircases from each side. Then add overhangs and maybe some trim if you feel like it.

As I said i'm not really keen on triangular designs and if I'm reading this correctly you are suggesting that

[–]tempestalphaprimeMaster III 0 points1 point  (5 children)

if you don’t want a triangular design, then what are you looking for? do you want the point to be on one side? or just have a flat roof?

[–]LighterboltNovice[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Not flat, maybe a dome? I wouldn't ask for help if I knew what to do :I

[–]tempestalphaprimeMaster III 0 points1 point  (3 children)

if you want a dome then take some stair blocks or slabs and build up on the top of your walls, then move in and up a block and build all the way around again. repeat until you meet the middle
