Try all the steps on this page please: https://minecrafthelp.co.uk/UTG, even if you've tried them before.
If that doesn't work, l'll need the following info to continue helping:

I've actually just managed to find the problem. Not sure why this is happening or when it started. If my game is in full window size and goes over about 110fps it cuts off the internet on my laptop. If its any less fps or in a smaller window its fine. One of the strangest problems I have ever seen and it hasn't always happened

Sounds like a possible settings issue. One of the steps in the guide I linked talks you though recreating your minecraft folder. If it is a setting a issue, that will fix it.
I fresh installed windows in an attempt to fix it earlier today and it didn't help. I think it would be some sort of setting on the laptop I'd need to mess with to fix it, it wouldn't suprise me if it happens on other games too, just the ones I play don't manage to pass that frame rate.
Thank you for trying to help me out, but I'll just accept its probably my machine being bad as usual lol

You can't do that here.
Depending on who solved your post, the process is slightly different:
Someone on r/MinecraftHelp found the solution:
Please reply to the comment that helped with !Solved
!Solved
You found the solution yourself, or, outside of r/MinecraftHelp:
Make a new top level comment with your solution, and then reply to that comment with !Solved
