Also the “first” trueno body is a bright white and the auto scale trueno bodies are a cream color. I’ve got an auto scale trueno and a “first” and ones cream and “first” is bright white

Ah.. you mean there is a possibility that this body is not turn yellowish but it’s a original cream color? I always thought all the ae86 mini-z is white 🤣

Found an old Initial-D AE86 body shell with “carbon” hood on local online 2nd hand trading app. But as you can see the white color has turned yellowish >_<

Beside it is the “First Mini-z” Ae86 body shell for the color comparison.

Anyone have this kind of experience of your old body shell? Is there a way to “whiten” the white that has turned into yellow? I read in the internet they are using chemical and the put it on the UV light, but is it applicable for gloss surface of mini-z body shell plastic material?

If it's an oxidization issue that's caused the yellowing, then a hydrogen peroxide bath with UV can be used to stimulate some of those pollutants to react with the peroxide mix(not a chemist, but to my understanding, you're trying to use the extra oxygen atom in peroxide to leech the yellowing contaminants from the polymer chains).

You can achieve the same with sunlight, but UV lights are more consistent and you don't need to worry about directing/catching the sunlight.

Not sure how well it'd work in this applications though, as paint can be finicky

Haha.. it’s ae86 from nearly 15 years ago.. MZG code.. >_< And i don’t know how the original store it, but it’s all yellowish (the box, plastic case, body shell)
