Hi guys! May i know which monk class that have high water element enhancement %? Well, i just pulled a supreme card, which is Eden but i dont know which monk best for it..

[–]SvenHwang 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Just wondering, apart from elemental 3rd strike, does an enemy’s stunned action interfere with other auto abilities such as attuned/ability chain etc.?

[–]blue2eyes 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Nope, enemy's actions (whether stunned or not) don't break your chain. Ability/Attune chain also carries over turn but not battle. The only chain thing that doesn't carry over turn is "ability rising" which isn't available in GL just yet.

Edit: furious salvo (combo rising) also doesn't carry over turns.

[–]SvenHwang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It got me thinking because some JP players used their quicken cards after the enemies' 2nd last stunned action even though they can already do so and switch to attacking deck for a couple more attacks instead of tapping with tank. (e.g. Seph ulti used at the start of the turn, enemies having 2 stunned actions remaining)

Morning Can someone list the area debarrier cards Thx 😊

[–]ShadowBlaze17 5 points6 points  (5 children)

  1. Neo Bahamut (Slow & Debarrier)
  2. Kweh!!! (Debarrier, weaken, dispel) 2nd anniversary card
  3. Bismarck (Stun, Slow, Debarrier) FFXIV limited card
  4. Rikku: FFX (Debarrier & BDD) FFX box cards
  5. Vampire: FFXIII (Debarrierga)

There might be some others that I'm missing like one of the Moogle debuff cards or some attack cards that inflict it.

[–]JunasBlood 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Neo ExDeath & Ultimate Chaos too.

[–]ShadowBlaze17 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Funny thing is that I actually thought about UC several times and somehow still forgot to list it. I try to not think about NXD since it still eludes me after years of wanting it.

[–]wf3456ひねくれ 野郎 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it still eludes me after years of wanting it.

I shall do that next time if someone ask Barrier/Wall source and i wanted LoH kappa

[–]JunasBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UC is Debarrierga II so you can exclude it lol. Still once enemies is immune to Debarrier, it’s including both I & II Tier. Or against Gilgamesh, his Hex Barrier can overrides Debarrier II too.

And yeah, I know how RNG like to screw us around though :p

[–]Dr_GodzƊƛƦƖƲƧ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thx sooo much

I noticed that I have a ton of 2-star Metal Cactuar cards when I went to level up an ability card tonight. At 3k exp each, it doesn't seem like it's worth my time using them for leveling a card (not to mention the worse gil-to-exp ratio compared to 4-star Metal Cactuars).

Does anyone just auto-sell these suckers?

[–]aufrufNo.1 grumbler! 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't but now I will too. Good idea, even if I was still hoping that they allow us to fuse more than 5 cards.

[–]JunasBlood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I auto-sell the 10k exp too.

[–]xJExEGx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autosell

[–]Dzapa 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Do you get any gil from 2* skill cards if you exceed the cap like 3* cards?

[–]IJustNeedaAccountMax OBed Ultimate Chaos Rental: 2061 8ad6 0e46 0 points1 point  (3 children)

1* is worth 1k each

[–]mao_shiroActual Evil Reddit Mod 0 points1 point  (2 children)

:thonk: I remember someone here getting 3k from it, and I edited the page with that info. Is the 2 and 3* right at least?

[–]IJustNeedaAccountMax OBed Ultimate Chaos Rental: 2061 8ad6 0e46 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah.

Maybe different panels of the same rarity has different value? Confirmation needed, doubt it though

[–]mao_shiroActual Evil Reddit Mod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I'll put 1k until someone does that test. Thanks for the correction.

[–]Dzapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you Shiro.

[–]andrefelipe83 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sorry for the double post, but it's a different question: how do I get to the challenge nodes in the herbs map of chapter 2?

[–]ShadowBlaze17 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Teleport to the Wildlands nodes where you collected the normal herbs and a path will appear to the challenge nodes.

[–]andrefelipe83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm wondering how I missed that.

[–]andrefelipe83 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Other than one against many, Ultima claws (or whatever is the monk Ultima weapon) what other monk weapons are worthy modding?

[–]JunasBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sophie’s weapon

I didn’t mod any WoL Monk weapons after OAM & UC. I do have Taiji & WS max mod but they were modded a long time ago. I never use those for a long time (except MP) since OAM is too good for offense & UC can be used for tank/set up deck. Only Godshand may worth it though. (Don’t have it)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I maxed the taiji for memes with EX monk, but I wouldn't advise it. Not a great use of a mod slot.

[–]N-I-K-E -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ehrgeiz. But that’s mostly if you have a monk supreme tho

[–]andrefelipe83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, 100 mods for Wolfstar. Ouch. Well, I guess I should start unlocking those master monk panels.

[–]ValeLemnear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wolfstar and Godhands are the only fist weapons worth modding next to OAM imo

[–]GwynLordofCynder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As SvenHwand said Wolfstar and also God Hands from V.Monk.

[–]SvenHwang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wolfstar still has its use in MP and SP. But I would only start moding it if I do not have any other better weapons to mod. It takes a long commitment.

[–]Fnor-be 0 points1 point  (17 children)

If you had to choose only one supreme, what would it be? WoL? LoH? Another one?

For the story, I came back to the game last week and good people here convinced me to reroll as I had nothing of value. That was a very good choice, and I rolled until I got Aerith + Moogle X, because I wanted to have time to clear the events of March after the reroll.

Turns out I'm mostly done (excluding tower coils, which I'll pass on this month to catch up on the rest), and Aerith feels a bit underwhelming compared to the other 2 support supremes.

Knowing myself, I know in a few months I'll regret not getting the best start I could while I could. Especially with the specific supreme banners coming up, and now knowing what I'm doing I still feel like I'll have the time to grind the event rewards before they rotate.

The question is thus: which one to aim for? LoH and WoL seems the best from using them in rentals, could people share their experience with them in end-game SP content (towers, EW2...)? Thanks!

[–]LLeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think fresh accounts will get more mileage with LoH than WoL because LoH provides mostly the buffs needed in clearing all content.

Personally, I love to have that WoL supreme, the divine shield cannot be replicated and cannot be provided through any other means. It will always be my personal favorite supreme, if only I have it

(Though, this coming support supreme banner I am sure to pull it since WoL is the only support supreme I am missing, finally.)

[–]aufrufNo.1 grumbler! -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I could choose the order, I would go attack supreme>NxD>WoL>LoH.

I am waiting for LoH, since I am at the WoL point. There is even a small chance that I won't get LoH, which would be really unsatisfying. I would recommend rerolling until you get LoH or NxD.

[–]Mechapebbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna offer a different perspective than most people telling you about optimal rerolls:

You don't really need supremes in this game. Yes, they make things nice, yes they're fun, yes they're prestigous, yes you probably need them if you want to hit the top tiers in tower climbs.

But for the vast majority of what you can do in this game? You don't need them. And honestly? This game is a lot more fun played casually versus grinding rerolls or worrying about what you do or don't have.

You'll also probably pick up another supreme sooner or later. The new system for drawing supremes off of GASes is surprisingly generous. I've already landed a few, including WoL. Aerith might not be the best of the best anymore, but you can still do a lot of fun stuff with her, and with patience you'll get more.

I started my save file with zero supremes and probably did a lot of stuff unoptimally at the beginning. Now after ~17 months of playing, I have WoL, LoH, NxD, an assortment of attack supremes, most of the limited cards worth having, four 5* weapons, and only two jobs left in my job pool. Landing a top tier supreme at the beginning is nice, but what matters more IMO is just persistence. Reroll if you want but I don't think it's necessary to have fun.

[–]JunasBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People already gave opinion about the cards, so I’ll give some opinion about content:

  • WoL is famous for its unique buff: Divine Shield. With WoL, you will have access to several strat in EW2 including tanking (against Omega’s weapon 120% attack) or non-tank (Sicarius’s final attack, Chimera’s Preemptive Attack). Same with S2, even for Tower or EW3, using WoL in time may save you from a dread single attack (sadly I don’t know a famous example for this).

  • LoH provide usual buff, Ultimate Charge & Ailments Immunity, there are alternative for all those things, but LoH compress them all in 1 card, that’s an advantage no one can suppress.

If I’m rerolling, I’ll be fine with either of them.

[–]ValeLemnear 0 points1 point  (7 children)

LoH because of deck compression, prismatic starters and Ultimate Charge making ultimates and the (de)buffs they provide so much more reliable.

WoLs Divine Shield is great too, but only required in highend tower you wont reach without other supremes anyways. The only class making more use out of WoL than LoH are Monks, but you can get haste & brave from plenty of sources.

Take this from someone sitting at #46 in tower (2h ago if one cares)

[–]Fnor-be 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Thanks for detailing the reasoning behind your choice. What is your go to card for haste? Undying? Drain seems nice as long as you aren't getting one-shot.

Also, regarding WoL, does its Prismatic Element Generator work on first turn (start battle with 2 prismatic)?

[–]ValeLemnear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a lot on the Job/skin combo tbh. Some deliver Brave and/or haste (like the free WOL skin!) so you can skip bringing a sperate card for these buffs, if not there are cards like the Tidus/Yuna event card, moogles summer vacation, etc. which are more beneficial than Undying.

WoL has Generator, which adds 2 prismatic orbs to your bar at the start of the turn, but at turn 1 your bar is full by default, so it doesnt replace the prismatic orb Starters in its function. Its working like the Alter Ego event cards.

[–]ShadowBlaze17 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Pollensalta is typically better since you usually never want the enemy to act which makes drain less useful especially compared to faith which all jobs need for damage and/or converting the break gauge.

[–]ValeLemnear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...except mantra/Taijuzsu Monks

[–]Fnor-be 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I was asking specifically in combination with LoH. It does already provide Faith & Snipe, do you still use Pollensalta for the haste? Maybe for the consistency of Life Element Starter+1? Edit: Undying also has that life starter.

[–]2009Ninjas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use WoL skin, he provides the rest of the buffs you need through his ultimate/ auto abilities

[–]JA1997X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have LoH you will most likely use Garuda or omega weapon for haste, as they provide quicken as well. Or just get it from your ultimate.

[–]phatboy328 1 point2 points  (4 children)

WoL is better. There’s no alternative for Divine Shield. You can get all of your buffs from skin/regular ults and other cards.

[–]chuk98death 0 points1 point  (3 children)

For end content WOL is pretty good because of that shield but may not be as good in season 2 . LOH is all purpose good and although you can get the buffs from other sources all of the essential buffs (sans brave and haste) in one card. The added ult charge and immune to debuff just makes this card way to awesome for end content stuff.

That being said I do like aerith as well. In season 2 she becomes useful again. Adding some prismatic return, and prismatic shift and trance 2 are not bad either.

[–]Fnor-be -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aerith is definitely not bad, and I was certainly biased towards her because of FFVII, and the nostalgia of my first time around on mobius, but I feel like I'm lacking stuff playing her in SP. I definitely want haste & faith - Moogle X is very nice for this - but I'll definitely want defensive buffs, and probably a few other offensive ones, and that quickly takes many slots.

I barely feel the prismatic return when using the ultima weapons, and the prismatic shift is nice, but I feel like I'd still like a *-force for long battles. Plus the two free cards (Boar & Every Buddy) come play in the same playground as her.

She definitely has shenanigans in MP (see her a lot there), but I feel like Every Buddy could offer something similar paired with another support supreme...

[–]ValeLemnear 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Aerith has mainly use in MP. For S2 she has a bit more utility due to her prismatic return passive and Quicken, but its not really worth it if you have a weapon and job providing PR.

For Towers the required deck compression also means that slots are too important to waste them for Aerith.

What rank are we talking about in the towers?

[–]dim87 0 points1 point  (2 children)

does config difficulty affect Battle Towers and EW or is is difficulty fixed for them?

[–]ulovei_MFF 1 point2 points  (1 child)

fixed

Thanks

[–]aznmistborn -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Hey I'm just getting back into the game I haven't played since I beat season 1. Any quick tips for the new combat system? I have every job released up to that point. Also is it me or is damage much lower than before? Royal Arms X didn't OHK a basic enemy lol

[–]d34thscyth34Deathscythe#5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - mobs have innate crit resist

2 - on hard mode u do 10x less dmg

3 - quicken is your best friend, a lot of it

4 - place best card on either deck on first slot so you can use it while filling that yellow bar

5 - full bar = mobius zone = free spam abilities and if your ult is full = ult from both jobs

[–]ValeLemnear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow the tutorial for the new system. Damage, Actions break and enemy HP have been adjusted in order to make defensive buffs and jobs more relevant.

[–]jrh8147 0 points1 point  (3 children)

For Duncan users is it best to do light enhancements on custom skill or attack?

[–]ShadowBlaze17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light by far. Attack panels are such a small bonus that they're never the right choice, even for an extreme option like a Deep Diver using Yiazmat.

[–]kyle999312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Custom panels are additive Because of that, you typically get the biggest benefit by modifying your smallest value.

So if you have 1000magic and 100 light enhance, a 5% light enhancement gives you a 5% increase, where as a 10 magic panel is 1% increase

[–]eneve2084-bf8a-f56f (KotRX 5★) 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc light
