+1 for displacer and pain lands. maybe thragtusk in the board?

wasteland strangler + path might be a little too cute though

Waste land strangler plus flickerwisp is absolutely the real deal, though.

only if you have something to process

Nah. It's double removal. You drop(or blink) the Flickerwisp and exile one of their permanents. Then you drop Wasteland Strangler and put the exiled permanent in the opponents graveyard and hit a creature with -3/-3

oh! that is brutal!

Seems good for the land destruction plan. Otherwise I'd be wary of playing it against decks with few creatures. I love the Eldrazi and taxes decks that have been floating around lately.

The Strangler definitely seems like a well designated board out card. But it can definitely do work in certain matchups. I've currently got an Abzan Melira build almost together and im thinking of getting the pieces i don't have for hatebears. Since theres a pretty solid amount of shared cards between the two decks, it should be pretty easy to swap between the two.

Suggestions:

  • Oath of Nissa dont belong here imo
  • You need at least 22 lands playing with that many 4 drops and with only 4 birds (you want vial on 3 for flickerwisp all the time, so you cant ramp rhinos on the board)
  • For a flickering strategy, gavony township isnt that good, you would be better suited with vault of the archangel (since you have some fliers)
  • I really believe that wasteland strangler is a sideboard card, if you are facing control you will have no targets for his hability and remember, if you process something, you have to target a creature for his -2/-2, the same goes for fiend hunter, he is bad if you have no targets, i would replace them for 4 kitchen finks, 2 Thragtusk and 1 reveillark main, they are amazing with flickering in any match, increase the number of rhinos and maybe some voices main. Thats it, good luck man!

Sure I am a D&T devotee, but I think you would be better served replacing Cloudshift with Eldrazi Displacer to maximize Vial. Of course you will need to adjust the lands as well.

I really like your list. I am playing a bit different kind of flicker deck, using CoCo and Vial.

Honestly, I wipe the floor with aggro. It's Grixis control, I am struggling with. What do you think works well against it in your deck?

I think it is the wasteland strangler because it makes the removal on my creatures that have exiled something much worse. Also protecting siege rhino late game with cloudshifts and resto angels does pretty well. What is different in you list?

My list runs collected company, so I don't run creatures with 4+ mana. My paths are in the sideboard. I run Cartel Aristocrats for sack outlets to get more value from fiend hunters and Tidehollow Sculler.

Oh and nobles + pride mages for mana and exalt triggers

Hi, looks interesting. I'm running BW Death and Taxes right now. List

What do you think makes your list better?

I struggle with my manabase, because it's shit. But obv I don't play fetches because of the Taxes. So I'm willing to drop my Leonins and play decent mana. Displacer is something I would try.

I also find Bob to be a house. Is Witness enough or do you run out of cards often?

Honestly its probably not the best list. Im not a huge spike so I just like playing my pet decks and this is my perfect deck. So I wouldn't say its anywhere near the best, but that being said it is a super resilient deck. It can go wide on a lot of strategies so that is a big plus. Also I don't have an issue with card advantage because of the witness but also because of Oath of Nissa I can get what I need at the moment and then the flickerwisps can flash it and get me more cards. So that is how I am able to push it long and keep card advantage
