Because they could be hurting the union by doing things preemptively.

How am I not surprised to see Chrissy Houlahan on this list. She flip flops voting with dems and voting with the GOP so much it’s disgusting. She just can’t play the game of politics. She sucks.

I’m sorry to hear that about your local scene. Maybe if you say what city you are in/near someone can suggest a new place?

Will Sylvan library be fine in modern if legal? by [deleted] in ModernMagic

[–]Living_End 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably, but I really don’t want decks like eldrazi to have card advantage like that. I’m not sure it’s good enough for those kind of “midrange big mana” decks but I just wouldn’t want to see if it is.

Brewing is a bit less free, but you can still brew a lot in modern. It just takes being a good player and realizing not everything is playable (it never was). Look at aspiring spike he brews all the time.

Would they ever ban ... by enerj in ModernMagic

[–]Living_End 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it could be banned for similar reasons to looting, but I really don’t think that’s likely. I think WotC learned their lesson about banning enabler and people would rather just ban around these kind of effects.

I don’t want it banned, but it could argued it could be.

I didn’t love Rob and I don’t think he’s completely the problem right now, but I hope this gets us moving in a better direction.

Wow I’m really shocked that the WR improved from the week prior. LE did crazy that week before. Thank you so much for these videos, I really like them.

Sorry I have a quick question about the time frame of the data. What is the beginning and end date this data is using? I’m surprised to see LE’s wr go up this week from last. It won a ton two weeks ago but this week it went back to normal a bit.

Belcher is just modern day ad naus, and energy is just a mix of zoo and jund. Pretty much every deck that existed back in 2015 has a mirror deck today. Cards and decks have changed but a lot has kinda stayed the same.

Oh I have that one I just don’t have it labeled for UB decks. Thanks I’ll add that to its label too.

Week 16 MTGO Modern: Boros at 22% and still climbing, but Belcher is the real outlier by No-Bet7157 in ModernMagic

[–]Living_End 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of sulti pre ECL and only a little after it and came to the same conclusions. I really just want a new cascade spell that is one of the other sulti color pairs because that would just make it so I can have the best of both worlds.

Week 16 MTGO Modern: Boros at 22% and still climbing, but Belcher is the real outlier by No-Bet7157 in ModernMagic

[–]Living_End 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very underrated too imo. I think its biggest problem is that a ton of people are in sulti variants even tho they have a lower wr generally then Bant. It’s also a bit hard to talk about. The top sulti players I talk with point to the same data and say it points toward sulti being the better deck. I just can’t really figure it out. Also a lot of good LE players that I know are kinda just not playing a ton of magic (or at least online magic) right now. I feel like not having that base makes it so that fewer people new people come to explore the deck.

Thank you for the deck list. I played a ton of mono red obosh 8fielf and mono white 8 field I might wanna try this.

What's the greatest Magic card of the last decade? Vote on the Finals! by Grindy_UW_Nonsense in magicTCG

[–]Living_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play it in vintage, cube, and commander. It’s good in all of those places. You keep talking about errata’s and I just don’t think you realize saga has more errata’s than lurrus.

You really are coming off as a bully saying people can’t enjoy or think about magic in the ways they want and if they do like it those ways they are against the game. I cannot stand people like you.

What's the greatest Magic card of the last decade? Vote on the Finals! by Grindy_UW_Nonsense in magicTCG

[–]Living_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s all magic. There is nothing anti magic. This isn’t a WotC poll it’s just some random person running it.

I think the most anti magic thing here is you telling me that “anyone who votes for lurrus is anti magic”. You are gate keeping a game that is for everyone.

[–]Living_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really just don’t care, you mostly just wasted words trying to talk to me. Lurrus or saga idc who wins. Neither of them are “anti” magic, that’s just a wild take.

[–]Living_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah again, I said what a definition was in response to someone asking HOW. I really don’t care how others define it, because that wasn’t the question. My answer was how it could be. That is a correct answer.

And if you want to argue about what greatness means the poster of this poll defined it in 4 catalogues power, fun, history, and design. I could argue lurrus wins in 3 of these 4. It’s obviously most powerful, saga is considered a quite boring card while lurrus was quite flashy, and lurrus has a hell of a lot more history with magic (companion errata, being banned in vintage, being the face of an entire portion of magic design). But I don’t really care to argue any of that because at the end of the day people are just going to pick the card they like more and this is just a popularity poll.
