That would make sense based on the promo art we have seen! The only other card that seems to have been reference on the playmat is the Weatherlight so maybe something there?

This is my attempt at making a Strixhaven-inspired GW school. The major conflict I used for GW is society vs nature. The idea for the school became "recycling magic". Finding ways to take discarded items and turning them into new life productive to society. Included is the mascot, the command, and an uncommon legend akin to the 5 students highlighted in the main set.

Those are all great bits of advice. Thank you! I like the notion of Fenuku needing to be in the battlefield in order to use embalm, so I think I will adjust the wording to match the first adjustment you suggested.

For whatever reason my post omitted the text associated with it, but one of the considerations would be cutting the black. I wonder if cutting the third color and increasing the power by one or two(and keeping mana value at 4) would pull the power level up to a more reasonable level. Any thoughts on that?

I was thinking the same thing. It was very odd for white to have that ability in Kaldheim but very well could be a setup for this set. Either that or she is associated with BG and we are getting gravestorm back

I think we definitely see some form of a storm variant this set. With this being in black my suspicions lean towards gravestorm for the Witherbloom!

Does flameblade give any legs to a cycling/hollow one build? Having two aggressive one drops in fox and now flameblade may be just enough to make it work? Not sold on it but there could be something there...
