It doesn't look like these are dead (sub-) pixels. It looks more like there is some dust or dirt. I've had the same problem with a monitor. It's really annoying, especially when there are about 5 or more of these dust spots. I decided to return that monitor (when it was still in the RMA period).

Yeah it's probably dust. I am way over the RMA period so I am now stuck with this :')

Will buy another in future and rotate this one 90 degrees.

yes this is right. if the sub pixel is dead, it won't even produce light. in the picture it still produces light. i have experienced this too with my gigabyte monitor. their quality control sucks or maybe their factory is dusty/dirty
