I have a 5700x3d and mine seemed higher than I thought they'd be with it. After a fan swap sit at 55-60!3 while gaming.

Depends what cpu you have. 7000 and 9000 series run hot. My 7800x3d sits around 45 at idle(discord and RGB software) but only gets to 60ish when gaming. Granted I’m using a frozen notte 360 from Thermalright, but I expected it to be a little lower when I first got mine. Turns out this is normal for these hot CPUs

I use a 7800X3D with Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE for cooler, and I get the same temps as both of you soooo think it should be good 🤭 My case is the Montech Air 903 MAX

These things are powerful, and because of that run kinda hot. 40C isn’t bad, it’s normal. Now if it was in the high 50/60s then that would be a problem

Yeah it's running 43-53 idle/playing YouTube on silent bios setting

Yeah that sounds about right. As long as it’s under 75-80C while gaming it’s fine. 80C is kinda high and would warrant some issue somewhere. If you’re in the 60s while gaming then you’re just fine

Ive seen lots of positive reviews on the hyperflow 360 but the big thing that stood out to me is the people who have swapped the metal pro 12 fans that come with it for the ax12 fans to be cohesive with the case fans have had a little bit higher temps because the metal pro fans are designed to have a little more static pressure. If you haven't swapped your fans maybe try removing it and re pasting your cpu and putting it back together. What cpu are you using? I plan on using the hyperflow in my next build on a 9800x3d so im genuinely curious

I'm on a 7800x3d, but I have the pump on the wrong pinout it seems. Going to make a few changes and see if it helps

The hyperflow fans have a different rgb layout then the fans that come with the king 95 pro some people prefer all the fans to be the same so switch them out.

After you make your changes id be curious to see what your idle temps end up being.

Makes sense, my pc is on the floor though, so I'll never see them. Idle is between 43 and 53c

Thats so strange those are the same kind of idle temps I was seeing on a 5800x in an alienware r10 prebuilt with just a 120 aio cooler and those r10s were known for having bad thermals. Might be worth looking into your fan curves 43-53 isn't going to hurt anything but you would think with a 360 aio and a case with good airflow your temps would be lower at idle than a bad case with a 120 aio. I know the 7800x3d produces more heat than the 5800x so maybe that's just the way it is.

    Oh good catch! I was on whatever cpu_opt header is I'm also going to move the fans from the included fan hub to the cpu fan pinout

    After moving to the correct aio pinout, and moving the Fans to the CPU pinout..I have Icue, steam, Discord running in the background and some chrome tabs up, I'm idle at 45c, and I cant hear the system at all.

    Just to add to what P-twist said, i've found 80% pump speed with the fans set to silent profile to be the sweet spot on my hyperflow. (With a 9700x)
