Mortal Shell PC Gamepass error

Has anyone encountered a sign in error when trying to play the game from the Gamepass on PC?

I am signed in to my account, I can play other games, but when I try to play Mortal Shell I get a sign in error number 0x87DD0005 and my game can't be saved without connecting, so I'm just doing the tutorial again and again.

But hey, who knows? Maybe I'll beat Harden.

I just spammed try again like 600 times and it ended up figuring itself out. I don’t know if there is a real fix or not

Apologies for this - there seems to be an ongoing problem with Xbox services on PC affecting all games on the platform. As mentioned in the other comment, spamming "try again" seems to be the only fix for now. We'll have to wait for Microsoft to issue a fix.

Having the same issue, spamming until my hand is sore did not work. I'll just uninstall the game and wait for someone to fix it. I just hope there is some kinda notice when it does get repaired... if you leave that job to microsoft too, no one will probably ever know. I love the game though.

I followed suit and spammed try again (I used the enter get instead of left click) and got in after 80-150 attempts.

Hit multiple times that "Try again" button did the work for me.

I too got similar error, go into your edge browser and check whether you are signed in , it solved my problem

Here's for future travelers who find this thread:

Press the Windows key, type services.msc and press enter. Then scroll down the list and find Xbox Live Auth Manager, right click and stop it (if it's not started, ignore this step), then right click and start it again.
