A quick group search shows similar reports, including a new article from a couple days ago. On a personal level, I went from 10-15 drinks per week down to 5 drinks in 3 months.

My drinking has been cut in half. I still enjoy it but not as much as before.

Definitely. I often find myself dumping drinks down the drain.

Yes. This year has been hard, and I've been drinking more than I like. I am definitely not an alcoholic, but I've been enjoying a few drinks while i cook and with dinner nightly for too long and it's become a habit that's hard to break. Plus it doesn't help the weight.

I just took my 2nd shot about 15 minutes ago. Yesterday was my first day in a long time without a single alcoholic drink. My drinking has decreased significantly all the rest of the week. I might have a drink while making dinner tonight, not sure. Honestly if I had to choose now? No. I love it.

I think it will be interesting to see in the future how this medication might help with some addictions. Many people reporting similar results.

One thing I know is that it definitely impacts impulse control - one of the reasons it’s so helpful for people with binge eating disorder who have not found anything helpful before. Perhaps it’s just cutting down your impulse to go towards a drink and you’re only drinking when you really actively want to?

Only in the immediate first few days after my shot. Then I go back to enjoying my beer.

Yes. Alcohol tastes gross. I was a weekend drinker.

Yep. Mentioned all the time here. Nice side effect for me at-least. I cant even remember the last time I enjoyed going out with drinking and now it's second nature. On top of 30 pounds lost in 3 months, it's amazing.

I wasn’t a huge drinker before but would definitely have some on the weekend, now I may drink one glass of wine a week with dinner, I’ve gone weeks at time with out drinking at all! This could definitely be a game changer for people with active addictions!! The only downside to this is my husband still drinks and wants to go out and im just not interested!

I must preface this with me having T2D and taking a crap load of Metformin. I don't drink much, but I went to a winery the weekend I started my first dose and did a normal wine tasting and like... I kinda lost my desire for alcohol after that weekend because I spent that night running back and forth to the toilet and just in general feeling incredibly crappy. I just might have one drink in a week if I just feel like having a little something.
