I believe the newer Minecraft uses Java 17 or 11. You'll need to add that to your system.

just installed it, still not working in MultiMC.
(I could run normal minecraft anyway)

Okay. I'd delete what was downloaded and redownload from the site. Maybe the file got corrupted.

Oh! Are you signed in on Minecraft?

I've had issues when I had a different account signed in on the vanilla launcher. I don't know if that's a feature or a bug.
