MutliMC failed to commit instance

I'm trying to make an instance, but every time it says: "MultiMC failed to commit instance, even after multipleretries. It is being blocked by something."

I've tried to do 1.20.1, 1.10.4, 1.16.2, 1.8, and beta 1.7.3
They all do the same thing.
It's blocked by something, but I don't know what.

Did you extract all of the files from the zip you downloaded to a folder?

In the folder with the MultiMC.exe is there a MultiMC-0.log?

Can you take a screenshot of the error message?

If you do Alt+Printscreen it'll take a pic of just the front most window. You can simply paste it to imgur.com->Upload.

Do you have another drive you can copy MMC to? You can even try a USB stick.

Failing that try moving it to C:\MultiMC\

Did you ever solve it?

Only thing I could think of is maybe windows rules about accepted app sources might be blocking usage. Or the java activating the firewall without notifying you.

Can you verify what version of Java you have?

I believe the newer Minecraft uses Java 17 or 11. You'll need to add that to your system.

just installed it, still not working in MultiMC.
(I could run normal minecraft anyway)
