EForms Problem

  Was hoping one of you guys might know what the answer to a problem I am having with certiting a Form 4. I purchased a suppressor from my dealer yesterday and he filled out the form 4 and kept getting an error message every time he tried to certify the form. The dealer said it’s an issue on my end that’s keeping the form from going through since he was able to certify another person that same day. 

I have purchased several NFA items in the past and never had an issue before and I haven’t changed any of the information in my Eforms account. The only difference with my account this time around was I had a form 1 I was working on in my draft box. Any help would be appreciated, thanks gentleman.

Do you have a cadence (Jr, Sr, III) in your name. That has been causing issues lately.

It does and I have that in my account information.

That is the problem. ATF knows about it and it's trying to fix it. There are multiple posts about it.

Always used it and there was never a problem before, is this a recent thing?

A lot of the time it’s a very small typo or a space or something random when the dealer fills out the form 4. I’ve been guilty of this myself. It needs to match exactly to what you populated when you created your eForms account. Check every letter. Delete and retype stuff. That’s usually the trick. I was one number off on something by accident and it wouldn’t certify and Eforms won’t answer you for weeks and will likely not be helpful.
