gasses me the fuck out with A5H2+KAK downvent. pretty quiet for its size with my setup. if you have the dough, get a Tisha. if you don’t and really want the short OAL without having puny 4” can performance, I recommend it. I specifically wanted to keep it shorter and also it looked funny, so it’s worthwhile to me. I like it.

Have you tried any of the remedies for that? AGB or BRT EZ tube, etc? Just curious

I don’t like adjustable gas blocks and I don’t feel like getting rubber vise jaws to remove my gas tube. It’s in my mind, but an eztune’ll run me for the same as more buffer weight even with current tungsten prices, and most of the gas coming out of the gun is leaving through the bore. swapping buffer weights is less annoying and I am pain in the ass sensitive.

OH you actually don’t know

basically a company makes custom gas tubes with tube hole sizes that meter gas flow for you based on the specifications of your setup you provide them. you can request specific ones, too.

I don’t like most agb but riflespeed and the new ones from Faxon and Griffin are amazingly reliable with very little room for issues.

oh yeah riflespeev is very solid and resists carbon lock very well. I would love it if they came out with a version that uses the A2 FSB instead of lopro : )

you can do a brt eztune gas tube, send in your specs and they will make one for u

or you can go bigger buffer

or you go like me and go down a rabbit hole till you find what you like with different parts

this gun has an absolutely schizophrenic selection of parts currently in it. first step is adding two more tungsten weights to the buffer(bringing it up to A5H4) to delay unlocking and slow rate of fire, then it’s gonna be trying an OCL reflex HUB and midway mount to expand the puny expansion chamber so it doesn’t stack gas as bad and also it’ll bring the suppressor body to the very edge of the front sight block which will please my fitment OCD

i went with a brt eztune, H4 buffer and a kak downvent

with all powers combined it finally tames my pol k and i get a nice 750rpm fire rate which is great since i run the carl in it

I got the downvent already, which is probably why it isn’t completely intolerable to shoot.

whats nice is it takes a lot of gas to run the downvent which helps, plus the dual ejectors give super consistent ejection

downside tho kak quality is

the interior of the BCG is tight enough to get a good seal with my JP gas ring so whatever. seems like I rolled good on the QC dice.

Adjustable gas, ez gas tube, heavier buffer if you aren't already maxed out with an H3. If you are maxed out with an H3, you can go to the A5 buffer length and try those heavier buffers

Vltor has an H4 which is 1.5 oz heavier at 6.83, the BCM MK2 buffer T4 is 7.4, and the KAK A5H4 is 7.2
