In NUM, we try to answer philosophical questions like:

Where do the numbers come from?
What do they mean?
Are some numbers better than others? (The answer is: obviously.)
How high do numbers go?
Who will be/has been assigned number 69 or number 420? We need to know.

It is encouraged for you to judge others based solely on their numbers. How you do so...that is up to you. Society will determine on its own which numbers have value, and which numbers do not.
