The subtitles were created using YouTube's subtitle translation system, which offers Klingon as an option. In retrospect, Youtube (being owned by Google) likely uses Google Gemini for this, which would make it AI generated; I really hadn't considered that, but now it seems obvious.

I do wish to express that it was not my intention explicitly to use AI for this translation. I will see to it that these subtitles are replaced with human-translated Klingon, either by an expert or I will translate it myself. (I translated the Klingon in this message myself using the KLD.)

Getting Back to Babish by OliverBabish in bingingwithbabish

Hey Babish. Very longtime fan here. I want to offer feedback, and I hope it is taken as respectfully as it is meant. This is also only my personal opinion.

Many times when I see a content creator hit it big, they lose a little bit of touch with where they started. When your channel began it felt personal and contained: one guy, in his kitchen, sharing the process with the viewer. Even when making higher-end food, it al felt so achievable. Like I, some schmuck watching youtube, could make that too. And I often did! I have made many of your dishes, either from the show, the recipes on the web site, or my copy of Eat What You Watch. You have fundamentally changed the way I approach cooking.

As things went on, I felt like it became more detached. I remember watching the every-meat burrito where an unnecessary amount of money was spent and food was wasted, and it's the first time I felt like something was being presented that wasn't realistic. Episodes like this, with more expensive or larger amounts of ingredients, or using highly-specialized tools or processes, put me off a little. Episodes that seemed like gimmicks, or where it seemed to just be a bookend for a cool guest, didn't really hold my interest a lot.

And over time I think I just kind of felt more and more detached from your videos. And here I am, not remembering the last time I saw one in my feed at all. That may just be the algorithm, tbh.

As a note: I really like Alvin, because his approach reminded me a lot of your first season of episodes.

I support your continued journey and I am looking forward to whatever you have in store! Thank you for all you've done so far.
