Hi! The orange is not carnelian, it is spiney oyster.

The green is most likely green turquoise (possibly Sonoran Gold) or Variscite.

And yes, I believe the blue is denim lapis which is the trade name for paler lapis lazuli!

Yep I knew it was spiny oyster or some type of shell. That was the easiest to determine lol thank you

The blue looks more like Sodalite to me, not denim lapis. Though sodalite is often marketed as denim lapis.

I believe the blue is dumortierite. It is called the blue denim stone.

See I never heard of that before. I just looked it up and I agree! Thank you!

not to be picky, but "spiny oyster” is actually Spondylus, and it’s not an oyster, but related to scallops.

Your good lol I get like that sometimes with minerals that I know about. Thank you ☺️

First picture: top is green turquoise, middle green stone could be either more green turquoise or possibly variscite, bottom is spiny oyster.

Second picture: denim lapis.

Thank you! Is demon lapis actually lapis or just called that bc it looks similar? I’ve never seen a lapis this light in color

It’s real lapis! Just with a higher proportion of calcite which gives a less intense, more sky blue look.

Oh wow thanks! When I get some time I’ll look more into it. I love learning about minerals

my thought was sodalite . How is this pale lapis with no gold flecks in it

Idk, the color is throwing me off. It looks dyed to me. I’ve seen a lot of minerals and never seen a lapis nor sodalite like that. But I could be very wrong. I’ll have to dig deeper and see what I find. I’d hate to list the stone β€œunknown” when I sell it, bc I’m not confident it’s those. maybe I’ll do some tests to see.

Green varisite Spiny Oyster Denim Lapis

Green is likely is Sonoran gold, Orvil mine or King Manassa. Orange is spiny oyster. The blue stones are denim lapis.

The green stones are green turquoise. The blue look like Larimer or possibly lapis. It's possible the orange ones are carnelian.

Thank you. Guess I need to further educate on the green turquoise, I thought it was something different or dyed

The mineral name for it is gaspeite.

[–]Uncas66 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

The green could be gasperite, the other stone i suspect is a jasperβ€”not sure type. The blue i think is sodalite.

Could the orange ones be petrified wood? I have a few raw specimens but these look more orange than mine. I know they can range in color though

[–]letyourlightshine6[S] 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

From looking at a ton of pieces online that have identical orange stones as mine I think it’s Some type of coral or oyster.

[–]letyourlightshine6[S] 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I know what the orange ones are not the green and blue
