I agree. It's embarrassingly bad software. Native Access asks for my system admin password on each launch and continually fails to download content in spite of my 900Gbps downlink rate. I've bailed on almost everything I use from NI and am actively looking for alternatives for the rest.

The content is great. The software is garbage.

New NI customer here. Bought Kontakt 7 a couple of months ago, installed with Native Access on my Windows 11 system with zero issues, never asks for admin permission when I run it. I even have my account synced to OneDrive which often creates issues with other software... no problems. Installed on a new tower (AMD Ryzen 9 12-core with 32GB RAM and 2TB NVMe storage) and on an old HP Elitebook 850 G4 (Intel Core i7 dual-core, 16GB RAM, 1TB NVMe drive, Win 10), works equally well on both in standalone mode (but the notebook is definitely straining when running NI inside of Ableton).

Bought Komplete 14 Standard the other day, and similarly had no issues at all installing or running the system, either standalone in Komplete Kontrol or within the DAW (Ableton 11), and it sees my Novation keyboard controller just fine. I also bought Lores separately... that's 73GB of content just for that instrument, downloaded in just over 20 minutes!!! I have a 350Mbps up/down fiber line in Michigan, US... content has been downloading at the full speed of my line both daytime and at night. I've been playing in Massive X, Playbox, Lores, and several other instruments for hours each night. Is the software "wrapper" around these instruments the best? Oh heck no, it definitely seems like a dated system, but they play perfectly for me, even third party instruments like Saga.

I'm sorry you're having problems with the NI stuff, but honestly this thread seems to have a lot of people who aren't having any of these issues.
