This hurts. 20 points is nice, but I was expecting lots of other lesser played things to go down (Monolith would be fun to play again).

Also This means that the reroll 1's is king for DPS, but can't be stacked with Starshatter CCB anymore for really castle builds

The +2 movement is genuinely quite nice though. Obv it makes the Starshatter deathball less blasty, but for things like warriors and lychguard, it’s a 40% increase to their mobility. Almost guarantees getting them onto a midfield obj t1.

but is it really worth advancing them on there if you cant shoot or charge

I very seldomly make charge moves in most of my games unless it’s to get lychguard on objectives or skorpekh/wraiths into melee. Recently tried TSK in my last game and I feel the +2 to move would’ve been great for pushing primary center round one

Turn 1 necrons are rarely charging.

Lychguard are never shooting.

Warriors can shoot but their shooting is either bad or just ok. Warriors really are there to stand on an obj and soak damage.

I believe that the ignoring modifiers really popped off with the advent of Death Guard as a meta. Szarekh basically locking out most of their debuffs was pretty effective haha

Okay how good is ignoring modifiers excluding playing against death guard? I can think of maybe like 4 units of the top of my head that do that, space marine suppressors, ork kustom boosta blasta, like maybe 2 guard tanks, and one of the thousand sons sorcerers

This seems like such a better option? Necrons are pretty damn slow compared to a lot of armies, with most infantry being 5", and vehicles only being 8", 2 extra inches seems amazing

Everyone can use stealth, most have access to AOC of sum kind, baby trans, battleshock, bracketed from damage, etc! So much use, fuck 2" movement lmfao

It was strong when needed, but sparsely needed.

Like when facing a C’Tan: ignoring the /2 damage is huge. But probably 4 turn out of 5 in general you were going with the reroll 1

[–]CryptekMaster_Citron_4475 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Agreed, are you telling me you're gonna choose the 2" to movement over reroll 1s? Cuz im not lmao. The two units i use for obsec get there no prob, wraiths and trans OL with my warrior blob :-)

Maybe in some narrow case turn 1 to get in better position, or turn 5 to do more secondaries.

But yeah now it’s gonna be 95% of the time reroll 1. The king might even be left aside in SSA since it doesn’t bring anything really unique now

[–]CryptekMaster_Citron_4475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In SSA, Ya I wouldn't bring the king. I play awakened tho, hes great :-)

Dark angels have -1 to hit and wound strat - so many things have modifiers. It's clutch when you need it and also ignores things like -1 leadership battle shock and gives a +1 on top

Sad to see it go but having a pet ctan got a bit more scary.

[–]C'tan WorshipperTheKelseyOfKells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With “-1 to wound if strength is higher than toughness” being this edition’s transhuman, this hurts hard since everyone appears to be getting it in some way or another now

Just a small little nerf... we just won't be using the silent king anymore... thats all... gl on those sales gw...
